My Changing Understanding of Spiritual Growth
I used to think spiritual growth had to involve something profound or mysterious.
Over time, I've started seeing it differently.
Sometimes spiritual growth is simply becoming more aware of yourself. You notice how you react to difficult situations. You begin questioning old habits. You become more comfortable with silence and less dependent on constant distraction.
Meditation, reflection, reading, spending time in nature, or even having an honest conversation with yourself can create that kind of awareness.
The process isn't always comfortable. Looking inward can sometimes reveal things we'd rather avoid. But that's also where meaningful personal growth can begin.
I don't think spiritual growth means having everything figured out. Perhaps it means becoming more conscious of the person you're becoming and making choices that feel more aligned with your values.
